Oka

The main attraction in the city of Oka is undoubtedly the parc national d’Oka. There, you can take the historical path of the Calvaire d’Oka, which presents the station of the cross on which we can find 4 oratories and 3 chapels dating back to 1742. On the Grande Baie path, you can climb up the observation tower and cross the floating bridge that goes over the marsh. You can even have a nice dinner in the restaurant located inside the centre des services Le Littoral and rent a room at the Gîte sous les Pins.

In summer, the Oxygène camp is very popular with younger ones and offers them the opportunity to go camping, have a picnic and do several water sports. In winter, cross-country skiing paths, a winter campground, the skating rink, the slide and the snowshoeing paths are also at your disposal. The art of soap making intrigues you? Then visit the Savonnerie NHOÂ’s Eden, a traditional soap factory that presents demonstrations of soap making from Tuesday to Sunday. You will also have the chance to buy natural body-care products made with essential oils.
