Concealed between the regions of Laurentides and Lanaudière, the réserve faunique Rouge-Matawin is a place where time seems to stop. Here, moose, white-tailed deer, black bears, lynx, as well as a large number of birds live together well. The réserve is located right by the parc national du Mont-Tremblant and is crossed by two rivers: the Rouge and the Matawin rivers, as well as by 450 lakes, all that on a 1,394 km2 territory. In these water bodies, you can, among other activities, go fishing for northern pike and smallmouth bass. Visitors can take advantage of the wide range of activities offered in the park like camping, canoeing, hunting, fishing or, in winter, ice fishing and snowmobiling. The réserve faunique Rouge-Matawin is a relaxing place in the heart of the forest.
